“One Love Tennis” in the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children and Youth
On Sunday, May 29th, Michael-Ray Pallares, the president of the “One Love Tennis” foundation, based in Tampa, Florida, in the United States of America, came to visit the children and youth, who are accommodated at the Center for protection of infants, children and youth, Belgrade.
The activity, which took place from 1pm to 5pm, was a new experience for most of the children. “For me it’s a joy to be able to share my passion (tennis) with the children and to not only teach them a new skill, but also give them a memory that will last a lifetime”, said Pallares, who collaborated with TennisAid, another foundation that has connected with the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
“One Love Tennis” donated racquets, balls, clothes and equipment to the Center and spent the afternoon organizing tennis games and activities to introduce the sport to the children as well as the staff so that tennis can be a part of their regular sporting activities.
“I am very happy to meet someone like you and makes the whole heart of a child happy. I will never forget your kindness.” said one of the girls who attended the event. The activities concluded with a pizza party for the children, as they received their gifts.
